Welcome to Arapaho 2000! Over
three years in development, Arapaho Software is pleased to bring to the collecting
community the premiere patch collecting database system! This release includes all of the
information and history that Arapaho users have grown accustomed to having at their
fingertips for over twenty years wrapped in an entirely new interface. It includes
information for over 21,000 issues and more than 11,000 images. Wow! Or, perhaps we should
say: Whew!
As excited as we've become, we
hope you become excited, too. With Arapaho 2000 you will have state-of-the-art computing
at your fingertips. A slick graphical user interface ("GUI" to you techies);
file synchronization; FTP protocol to connect you to the Internet; on-line Live Updates;
and more! Arapaho 2000 is a custom designed 32-bit application, compatible with Windows 95
and Windows 98 operating systems, written for collectors of Order of the Arrow lodge
patches and licensed for the exclusive use of registered users. A license is also granted
for any individual to use the Trial Version of the software for a total of ten times
without registering. Refer to the Software License Agreement (EULA)for details.
Arapaho 2000 provides the means by
which the renown Arapaho lodge issues and histories databases can be accessed by a
licensed User (hereinafter "User") for the purpose of learning what issues exist
for a given lodge, recording ("checking off") those issues a
collector
possesses, storing unique information about each issue held (such as when acquired, price,
value and condition), and recording similar information about duplicates. It also includes
Arapaho's unique compendium of Order of the Arrow lodge histories that includes
information on each lodge's original charter date, lodge totem, meaning of lodge name and
totem, council, and more.
Through its database conversion
utility, Users of Arapaho 2000 who previously were using Arapaho II On Disk!! can import
their data without the need for re-entry. Arapaho 2000 is highly customizable. The User is
able to customize the program to suit individual preferences and collecting interests,
including the ability to select the types of issues shown in the listings, display
preferences, and more. A variety of highly customizable report features are included, each
of which can be viewed on the screen or printed on your printer. If enabled, Arapaho 2000
has a security feature that will prompt for a User name and password. Arapaho 2000
includes a complete Help module that can be accessed either from the pull-down menu for
the Help interface or by pressing the F1 key which will bring up context-sensitive help.
